Established in 1988, TDI Australia is based in Crows Nest, Sydney and is our gateway to both the Australasian and Asia-Pacific markets.

Masahiro Takahashi is an Associate of TDI based in Tokyo. He was born in Nagano, Japan, and graduated in Fine Arts, majoring in Design, from Kanazawa College of Art (1972). He worked as a senior designer with the Sony Corporation in Japan before establishing DESIGN:Takahashi in 1996.

Transport Design International was originally founded by product design house Warwick Design Consultants in 1987. Warwick Design still works closely with TDI on the design and development of specialist products and equipment.

At TDI we believe that the work-life balance is a key ingredient in both our creativity and in the success of our business. So why not take a break from it all and chill out in one of our luxury apartments either by the surf in sunny Corwall, or 'on the turf' in our home town of Stratford upon Avon - birthplace of William Shakespeare.

TDI is the UK design partner for Vectus, a Korean owned company fully committed to become a leading, global supplier of Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) systems. PRT is a fully automated, public transportation solution that is optimally designed to offer on-demand and non-stop travel services, similar to the use of taxis but without a driver on-board the vehicle. Vehicles typically seat four to eight passengers.

Severn lamb are TDI's local manufacturing partners. The two companies collaborate closely on the design and development of niche people movers such as electric land trains and ultra light railways.
