In addition to vehicles, expertise also extends to the development of urban realm and related infrastructure components such as ticket offices, street furniture, signage and passenger information systems.

For example, TDI has recently been working with West Midlands PTE Centro to develop new branding and tram design concepts for the Midland Metro light rail system in Birmingham. This follows a similar exercise undertaken for Manchester Metrolink in 2001.
